Day 2

From Boroughbridge to Linton-on-Ouse, with only one lock near the the start, 12 miles. the river Swale now joining in. RAF base at Linton, one shop and a good pub.

Smooth river, easy paddling with the current
River Swale on the right, no way for canal craft.

It was a bit of a struggle, but everybody helped
And a long portage across a very wet field.
